The McNeil Junction Hobby Co. is a personal endeavor of mine to serve hobbyists in the Austin area and beyond. For now, an online presence is established to gauge interest and develop an inventory of products to be sold through this marketplace.

 McNeil Junction is a level cross-junction in North Austin originally built in 1885 for the Austin & Northwestern Railroad (A&N) to intersect the International-Great Northern Railroad (I&GN) on its way to deliver pink granite to build the Texas State Capital in downtown Austin.

Today, McNeil Junction serves as a local point of interest with one of the oldest still-standing Post Offices in Texas (built in 1888) and as an epicenter for commuter and freight service by the Union Pacific and the Capital Metro Transportation Authority. Local freight services are operated by the Austin Western Railroad, a derivative of the original A&N that built the junction.
